Business, computer careers open house April 22

Nicolet College will hold a Business Careers Open House Tuesday, April 22, to give residents the opportunity to explore a variety of careers in business as well as computer information technology.

The event will run from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Tamarack Center on the Rhinelander campus.

Featured academic programs will include Business Management, Accounting, Administrative Assistant, Office Assistant, Marketing, and Information Technology, which includes computer networking, programming and pc support.

Along with traditional full-time classes, all of the programs feature flexible class schedules for students who cannot attend classes during the day. These include part-time options where students can take a mix of classes on-line or in the evening.

The programs are also structured to give students quick success where students first earn a college certificate in a relatively short period of time. Students then apply these certificate credits toward higher levels of academic achievement that can include college diplomas and associate degrees. Many also include a transfer option where students can apply Nicolet credits towards four-year bachelor's degrees awarded by other colleges and universities.

At the open house Nicolet faculty and staff will be on hand to talk with people about the programs, future job prospects, the admissions process, academic advising, financial aid and scholarships. Those attending can enter a drawing to win a MP3 player. Everyone will also receive a voucher that waives the college's $30 admission fee.

Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Natalie Clark at (715) 365-4912, 1-800-544-3039, ext. 4912, or by email at nclark@nicoletcollege.edu.
